The ICMA Élan Awards is a celebration of manufacturing excellence in card design, technological innovation and quality. This year’s event received a record-breaking number of entries from around the globe. Goldpac was honoured to have received 3 awards for our card products in the past year, bringing our Élan award haul to a total of 53 awards since 2004.
Here are our winning entries:
NFC Car Access Key for GAC Group
The overall design of this custom NFC car access key card combines a hardy industrial aesthetic with the sophistication and premium image of the GAC brand.
A textured robust aesthetic is achieved using varnish embossing, gradient colouring, and outlines of a diamond-shaped pattern to resemble a metal surface. The brand’s logo is affixed in the centre as a gleaming metal decal for a simple yet effective visual impact.
Card performance is enhanced using a cutting-edge type of high-temperature resistant black material that is developed specifically for automotive-grade cards. It can effectively withstand temperatures ranging from -40℃ to 85℃ during daily use. It is also resistant to sunlight exposure and corrosion under daily use.
Zhejian Tourism (Shaoxing) Theme Credit Card for Bank of Communications
In the style of traditional Chinese ink wash painting, the artwork depicts a classic Shaoxing scenery with illustrations of awning boats, water villagers, and pots of Shaoxing rice wine, bringing the poetic charm of Jiangnan to life.
The black, white, and grey palette exudes elegance, while a shimmery transparent film creates a sparkling effect of the rippling water.
This card is not only a convenient payment tool, but also a piece of classical ink painting of Jiangnan in the wallets of the card users.
Dragon Card Series Family Preferred Card (Premium Edition) for China Construction Bank
The central emblem is inspired by ancient Chinese coins with extended annular gold lines which forms a geometric background. It fuses the classical elegance of traditional Chinese currency with the modernity of payment cards.
The card is crafted using Mastercard-certified RPVC eco-friendly material, incorporating various effects including matte varnish embossing and shimmer laser hot stamping to create a rich and textured visual effect.
Besides the exquisite card design, the card offers numerous family care benefits such as facilitating medical appointments, airport transfers and other family welfare benefits. It embodies the core values of protection for the family as well as the environment.
